Wired and Wacky

Remember when your parents, your grandparents or other "elders" in your life would share their weird and wacky life experiences with others and you happened to overhear them? You know the kind of experiences  like "... my elbow aches so bad, I've gotta stop eating peanuts" kind of experiences? Or the "sugar makes me crazy" kinda wired and wacky life experience? Don't tell me that you never heard any of those kinds of "wired and wacky" takes.

Or could it be that  like me you were busy being young and flippant and way to busy to pay any attention to that kind of nonsense? Well as daddy would say, keep living ... and again like me you're gonna find out that the "wierd and wacky" nonsense now makes much sense. I'm feeling both "weird and wacky" these days. Could it be that I'm living and learning ???

Signing off, Hmmmmmmmmmmm LOL

Another Bridge to Cross. Diabetes.

Yep,
I'm Back with another bridge to cross !
Diabetes. Yes, I said it. How are you doing these days? Really? I want to know. Let's talk about it.

Hey my friend, thanks for stopping by. Seriously. We gonna have some grown folk talk. OK? I think I've found my groove. My writing groove that is. So, what that means is that my blog posts going forward for the most part with be excerpts from real conversations I have with real people about my current situation. And in this case , it's the diagnosis I received 2 weeks ago about being "pre-diabetic."

So for the most part you're being invited into conversations I've had with others and or thoughts or comments I personally have about the situation.  Whatever it my be at any given time, I invite you to feel free always to chime in. So, keep that in mind when reading.

I'm feeling some kind of way these days since my doctor told me I'm pre diabetic. Is there any such thing? I mean is that like being a little bit pregnant or what ?

A friend told me at church today that  you either have diabetes or not. In other words you IS or you Ain't. None of this pre diabetic stuff.

I not sure I  like that label either, it can be kinda confusing, but it does help you develop a mindset of urgency for sure.

Besides the fact that - that actually made sense to me, I kinda needed that "kick in the butt."  Either way, I've decided to live and not die, and I'm gonna blog about it, so thank you for taking this trip / this journey with me.

The purpose of this blog is 3 fold.
1. To incourage others, as I seek to incourage myself.
2. To inspire others, as I become inspired myself.
3. To influence others to better and greater lifestyles, so that we can be of greater use to The Master. #HeHasNeedsOfYou

Gotta slow down. Eat home cooked meals more often so we can control what we're eating better. Rest our bodies. Exercise more consistently. I posted My diagnosis on FaceBook and many people are coming out saying, Me too, so I'm going public with my journey in hopes that I can help encourage, inspire and influence somebody else along the way to become educated and committed to change. We can't continue to do the same things, keep the same eating habits flowing, but yet expect different results. That's called insanity.

My friend just told me she has done all those things and lost weight. To that I responded. - Great. Pray me through. I'm just getting started. I know I can do this.  I can do all things through Christ, as He gives be strength.

Yesterday was Father's Day and after a life changing day of ministry we went out to lunch. Now I must admit that I felt some kinda way about paying that kind of money and only eating a salad and a dab, really a dab of 4 vegetables and 5 small pieces of steak. I think that memory will help me eat at home more often than not, cause I wasted alot of money. Unless I choose to look at it as a " learning opportunity, i.e. Class. LOL

GOD is Good and I am up to the challenge. I just want to be My Upmost For His Highest! How about you?

We'll talk again soon. OK?
